Je suis né à Paris en 1948. J'ai publié à vingt ans ma première nouvelle illustrée de collages dans la revue Planète, très connue à l'époque.
Ensuite, après quelques années de route en Afrique et en Asie, j'ai été photographe illustrateur pour la presse et l'édition. En 1978, j'ai été lauréat de la Bourse Larousse des Jeunes Reporters-photographes Professionnels.
À la fin des années 1980, je me suis intéressé à la micro-informatique et j'ai été rédacteur en chef de plusieurs magazines. Puis en 1992, j'ai fondé le mensuel Micro Simulateur, un magazine spécialisé dans la simulation de vol qui existe toujours. Cette année, j'ai commencé l'écriture et la traduction de nombreux ouvrages sur l'informatique, la simulation de vol, la réalité virtuelle et l'imagerie de synthèse.
Dans les années 2000, j'ai repris la pratique de la photographie avec une spécialisation dans la photo de rue tout en écrivant et en traduisant des livres dans ce domaine. Je suis depuis plusieurs années un collaborateur régulier du magazine Le Monde de la Photo et je contribue aussi au magazine Profession Photographe

I was born in Paris in 1948. At the age of twenty I published my first short story illustrated with collages in Planète, a well known magazine at the time. Then, after a few years away in Africa and Asia, I became professional photographer. In 1978, I was laureate of the the Young Reporters Professional Photographers Award. In the late 1980s, I was interested to computers and I became editor of several specialized magazines. Then, in 1992, I founded Micro Simulateur, a monthly magazine that still exists, specializing in flight simulation. The same year I started writing and translating books about computers, flight simulation, virtual reality and computer graphics. In the 2000s, I resumed the practice of photography -specialising in street photography - while writing and translating technical books about photography. I have been, for many years, a regular contributor to the magazine Le Monde de la Photo and I also contribute to the magazine Profession Photographe.
