Photographe depuis 2006, alors qu'il vient d'accepter une commande pour un guide touristique sur Paris, avec pour cahier des charges : produire des images ensoleillées de la capitale, Christophe se trouve confronté à une météo catastrophique. C'est alors qu'est née l'idée de « Paris sous la pluie », série de photographies à contre-courant de l'imagerie touristique de la ville lumière. Il a depuis lors conservé une relation très particulière au mauvais temps, un amour quasi fusionnel qui l'a amené à créer un univers visuel poétique lié aux variations météorologiques. Il affectionne la dimension onirique du climat, ainsi que sa dimension romanesque et imprévisible et aime en saisir la beauté âpre à la manière d'un observateur du fragile équilibre du monde.
Photographer since 2006,after accepting an order for a tourist guide on Paris, with the following specifications: produce sunny images of the capital, Christophe is confronted to a catastrophic weather. The idea of " Paris in the rain " was born, a series of photos against the current of the tourist imaging of the city light, captured under bad weather. He kept from this experience a very particular relation to bad weather, almost fusional love which permitted him to create a poetic visual universe bound to the meteorological variations. He loves the dreamlike dimension of the climate, as well as its romantic and unpredictable dimension and likes to grasp its harsh beauty in the manner of an observer of the fragile balance of the world.
