Straight from Tolkien's universe, these illustrations transport us into the world of fairytales and legends! 

The British artist Anna Stead studied medieval art and is fascinated by fantasy literature, conveying in her work this universe drawn from folklore and mythology in imaginary and fantastic landscapes where dragons, magicians, elves and unicorns coexist. 

A setting was created using embossing, a Celtic interlacing pattern sculpted in relief in the paper around the image which accentuates the magical and fairy-tale touch of the illustration. 

A collection of 8 double cards printed in France, accompanied by ivory envelopes, available in independent bookshops.
