Véronique Françaix

Véronique Françaix

Véronique-Joséphine Françaix was born in Paris in 1963. Deeply attached to the Musée d'Orsay and the great painters exhibited there, she paints with energy and enthusiasm the subjects that are dear to her: cities, landscapes, bouquets, interiors. Paris and its rooftops are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for her. Her figurative and poetic painting is characterized by a direct touch and bold colors.

She embraces Pierre-Auguste Renoir's credo: "For me, a painting should be a lovely, joyful, and pretty thing, yes pretty! There are enough annoying things in life without us making more."
